For over thirty years, Tony and Julie Hook have been making cheese in Wisconsin. Starting out as a fairly small operation, the Hooks made primarily cheddar and Swiss cheeses. Some years later they expanded to Colby, Monterey Jack, and flavored Jacks and eventually grew to such an extent that they needed to find a larger working space. Many more artisan cheeses and awards later, the Hooks now make cheese from their Mineral Point location in southwestern Wisconsin.
Triple Play Extra Innings is made from a blend of cow, sheep and goat's milk from nearby farms. Aged over one year, this unique rindless cheese has a firm, dense paste that is sometimes crystalline, and ranges in flavor from sweet to savory, with herbaceous, grassy notes.
